Compilation #8: MinuteMann
Rules:
- 1-3 pieces, each one minute long. The goal is to create a one-minute piece that FEELS like a full piece, rather than an excerpt of something longer.
- All musical styles are welcome.
- All audio material must be generated in Reaktor, using any ensembles
you wish.
- Fine to use your favorite DAW(s) to edit and mix and master (compress, limit, etc.).

All pieces come from my album "Guitar Granulizer" and all are 1 minute long (or short) ... They were created using only Reaktor granular sampler and guitar samples.

Julian Cafarella: Colossal Ambient Rag, Ambient Cold Turkey in 17 Tones
Rag: Used only Koyaanitsqatsi and 3X 1.9. Turkey: This was made principally with NI Steampipe ensemble modified by a macro taken from an ensemble uplooaded a couple of years ago to the user library which enabled one to play on an an ordinary 12 tone keyboard in equal temperament but in any chosen number of tones to the octave.

circle six : Stone Walls
I used James Walker-Hall's beatslicer (an unsung hero of R5) and a homemade random sequencer for the core of the drums and cut and pasted them to their final form in Ableton Live. I used Mike Daliot's photone (which I just rediscovered for sound design) for some of the synth sounds, and John Nowak's black rectangle (the greatest thing since ontological empiricism) for some of the others. I also put in some vocals with a mix of a random delay I built and sample deconstruction with lazyfish's splitter; used as a synth instead of a beat masher.
Pure Phase: Toast
Track made using only Reaktor in Logic with the following Factory Reaktor Instruments: Carbon 1, Flatblaster, Graphic EQ 10, Massive, Spacemaster. Watch yer bass bins.
rachMiel: 6-1-3-4-3-4-4-2-5-4-15 x 3
Three 60-second pieces, joined together, with one-second pauses between. Three journeys through a 12-tone row defined by the intervals: 6 1 3 4 3 4 4 2 5 4 15. The piece is serial: The same numeric row that generates the pitches also generates the durations.

Made by ensembles Endgliss, Metalon, Kneurtznankel, White Grains, Orange Grains, Space Master 2, sequenced by Temper, then trimmed in Audacity.
