Sveiká!

I was born in a small village in Lithuania named Konstantinava about an hour's drive from the capital, Vilnius. At 18 I left home (mainly due to the political situation, which was intolerable) and ended up (after a few adventures along the way) in Washington, DC, where I attended Georgetown University and majored in English and political science. After working for the US government for nearly a decade (boring!), I saw the light, dropped everything (including my wife, unfortunately), and devoted myself to music. Having grown up in a musical family — my father is a pianist, mother a singer, my great-great grandfather played for the Czar, or so the story goes — the transition was surprisingly easy (though not on my bank account).

Originally very disdainful of electronic music/musicians (I felt they were "cheating"), I happened upon Reaktor about a year ago ... and fell in love with the possibilities of electronic music, specifically, Reaktor music. Below are three of my Reaktor-generated pieces. As you can see, I am very fond of pieces that take known musical entities and turn them inside out (lovingly).

Big thanks to all the wonderful creators of Reaktor ensembles! Your imagination and generosity have helped me grow tremendously as a composer and musician.

Enjoy my pieces!

Erwartung (5.45 mb) - a cover of Schoenberg's orchestral madness Erwartung.

My Funny Valentine (2.97 mb) - a cover of Miles Davis doing My Funny Valentine.

Skylark (3.37 mb) - a cover of KD Lang singing Skylark.

Wooly (4.29 mb) - a cover of the classic Wooly Bully.
