Home Music Words About Contact Rob Cazin Rob’s background rests equally in music and visual art. He became a professional musician at the age of 16. After abandoning aspirations of becoming an illustrator or an AI scientist he went on to study jazz guitar at the University of Miami School of Music. The combined disciplines of art and computer programming led him to computer animation, and the founding So! Animation in 1992. Rob has won numerous entertainment industry awards, including a National Emmy. He has been composing and designing sound for film, television and himself since 1995. 3 Days In The Desert (4.3 mb) - This piece was inspired by 3X, one of my favorite ensembles. It's a 3 part mini-composition, evoking a sense of journey and response. For all pieces, DP4 was used for sequencing. I played all the instrumental parts, including guitars. Him Or Me (3.3 mb) - This is a scene from a soliloquy featuring a character named Blim, a Coney Island hot dog vendor/philosopher. Voice and script, James Pinkowski. Ensembles used: Tablatorium, Auralis, P-Bass, and 3X. Mythology (4.1 mb) - Builds on a sequenced bed of AtmoBell, Carbon B, and Fourious. The violins were done with Gigastudio. One Hand Is Blind (3.2 mb) - A dark ambient piece featuring 4 ensembles — Acoustring, AtmoBell, Auralis, and Steampipe — as well as steel-string improvisation. The Uncertainty Principle (2.9 mb) - Employs the Heidegger ensemble, Fourtechre5, SineBeats Plus and SteamPipe. It is 100% Reaktor. |
