Tchok/Tom Tchok - Born in the French Guiana, where he mastered the art of playing traditional percussion instruments, Tchok expanded his horizon by getting into hip hop, and breakdancing. Moved to Paris/France at 18 to work as a studio session bass player, and learns the trade of audio engineering in the process. Always full of ideas and inspiration, computers and electronics become a means to aid Tchok in his musical expressions. Has recorded/mixed numerous albums, and produced many records since, always keeping an open mind, ready to mix traditional culture with new technologies. Tom - Started life in the UK, and moved from England to the US, then back to Britain. Finished high school in Amsterdam, then moved to France. Started playing drums at the age of 8 , and abandoned the noisy instrument at 16 for an even noiser one: 2 turntables, a power amplifier, and lots of vinyl. After spending a few years playing in clubs, bars, and parties, it became obvious that something was missing from this open minded DJ's flight case: dubplates. The logical progression was to get a job in a recording studio and learn/experiment production skills. After having recorded/produced in the studio, the next step was to set up a home studio for purely personal use(abuse). Currently working on various projects, not all based on Reaktor :-) berceuse (7.5 mb) - B'looper v3 (Rachmiel) for sample madness. Rachwool (Rachmiel) for ambient sounds. Various samples played by Sampler Pack 2.0. is there a place for me? (5 mb) - All tracks were made using the Go!Box and edited in Logic. Various Reaktor reverbs and delays were subtely used as send FX; including SpaceMaster, and Michat's Echo pack. Various edits were made in Logic and a few audio segments reversed. Fat pad by Junatik. patio (5.4 mb) - The bass and drum were generated by Go!Box. The skunk, and most synth sounds were generated by ChaOsc (Martin Brinkmann) and played in Logic Audio. All other synths are played by Ginger (Martin Brinkmann). Delay feedback is from Michat's Analog Delay/Echo emulation pack. A couple of drum samples and various FX were played using the SamplerPack 2.0 (James Walker-Hall) Edits were made to all track sequences in Logic. potager (6.3 mb) - Drums and bass by Go!Box. Percussion loop played by Sampler Pack 2.0 and edited in logic. All Synths by ChaOsc, and treated with degrader (JWH). The background ambiance is Another Mad loop (Martin Brinkmann).
